MERCADO SIN NOMBRE
East Austin · Maíz criollo · Café de México
PRIVATE PROPOSAL / EAST AUSTIN, TX
Michelin, The Times, Bon Appétit and the James Beard Awards all point at 408 N Pleasant Valley. The website still makes a stranger guess what is on the menu.
01 / SITE AUDIT / MERCADOSINNOMBRE.COM
Thirty-four items, six maize farms and seven Texas producers are published as two flat images. That is the whole reason a stranger cannot find you.
LIVE · 30 OCT 2026
/menu at 1440 × 900. The type you see is a photograph of type.1,280 × 1,642 and 1,280 × 1,463 px JPEGs. Both ship alt="". The page holds 324 characters of text and not one of them is a dish.
SOURCE · /menu · <img src="…OnePageMenuWebsite.jpg" alt="">
The page's only descriptive <h1> is wrapped in class="… hide", so it measures zero pixels. The surviving h1 is the mobile menu button, reading “Menu”.
SOURCE · / · getBoundingClientRect() = 0 × 0
#Texas Monthly, Bon Appétit, Michelin and The New York Times sit on the homepage as dead cards — while /press holds ten working citations.
SOURCE · / · 4 of 4 .blog62_item-link = “#”
Every dish, bag and room photograph is unlabelled. Screen readers announce nothing; image search has nothing to index.
SOURCE · / · 23 empty alt of 24 <img>
The Restaurant record still declares "url": "/old-home" — a relative path to a retired page, not the live homepage.
SOURCE · / · script[type=application/ld+json]
The shop banner says “over $50”. The FAQ says “over $40”. A customer who reads both is told they were wrong.

02 / THE GAP / SATURDAY, 9:12 AM
They heard the honey bun on a podcast. They typed your name. They got a shirt, a coffee button and a menu they have to pinch-zoom — so they went somewhere the answer was already written down.
This is not a traffic problem. It is a translation problem: the café already knows the answer, and the website makes the customer work to find it. The rebuild only has to stop hiding it.
Monday is never mentioned in either published hours block. Two blocks, zero “closed” lines.

04 / THE SYSTEM / WHAT BRANDCORE BUILDS
Not a brochure. A working storefront for a café whose product is a 100-hour biscuit and a single-origin Oaxacan bean.
A rebuilt homepage with a real, visible headline, today's hours, and one obvious next step. Not a slider, not a video with no words — a page that answers in one screen.
OUTCOME · A stranger knows what you are in four seconds.
Every dish, price, producer and origin in selectable HTML — one source that feeds the page, the phone and search. The 34 items stop being a picture and start being an answer.
OUTCOME · Prices are findable, translatable, pronounceable.
Hours, holiday closures and the “closed Monday” fact published once and mirrored to Maps and the Restaurant schema. The legacy /old-home record gets retired.
OUTCOME · Nobody drives to a locked door.
The nine-bag catalog with one shipping promise, correct from cart to confirmation. El Ritual, Teotepec, Xilontla and Huatusco keep their own pages, their own notes and their own prices.
OUTCOME · One threshold, stated once, honoured everywhere.
Ten real citations, linked to the publications that wrote them, on the homepage and on /press. Michelin, the Times, Bon Appétit and the Beard semifinal all become clickable evidence.
OUTCOME · The Michelin line stops being a logo and becomes a link.
Cart, catering and wholesale routed into one dated inquiry that lands in your inbox with the details you need. Date, headcount, location and budget range — before the first reply.
OUTCOME · A booked cart instead of a voicemail.
05 / THE PROOF / ALREADY EARNED
You need the one you have, published. Ten citations exist on /press. Four of them appear on the homepage as cards that go nowhere.
SOURCE · /press and the 19 Aug 2026 homepage banner. Citations are the café's own.
LIVE SITE
CONCEPT
Drag the seam. Left is the live homepage at 1440 × 900, captured 30 Oct 2026. Right is the proposed layout. Before is real; after is a concept.
06 / THE ROADMAP / THREE PHASES
Written so each phase can be finished and shipped without waiting on the one after it.
/old-home reference.SHIPS A correct, crawlable menu page.
SHIPS A homepage that answers before the first scroll.
SHIPS A storefront that books the room next to the room.
Launch day is the day the menu is HTML. Everything after that is compounding.
07 / THE ENGAGEMENT / THREE WAYS TO DEPLOY
No dollar figures here — scope first, then a fixed-fee quote after a 20-minute call. What follows is what each level includes.
For fixing the homepage and the menu.
Not included: commerce, events intake, monthly reporting.
For turning the storefront into a sales surface.
Not included: paid media, photography production.
For cart, catering and wholesale as one pipeline.
Not included: staff training, POS replacement.
Every level starts with the same three-day truth pass. Nothing is billed before the scope call.
08 / LET'S TALK / 20 MINUTES
A short call to confirm hours, the Monday closure and who answers the events line. Then a fixed-fee quote for the level you pick.

Mercado Sin Nombre already has the name, the corn and the citations. What it does not have is a door.
