Antique & Family Heirloom Restoration
In-shop hand stripping, furniture and veneer repair, custom stain colour matching, and hand-rubbed finishes.
Since 1985, Greg Morrison and Menacho Refinishing have restored the Peninsula’s antique furniture, family heirlooms and hand-caned chairs at 2284 Old Middlefield Way. This proposal pairs that in-shop craft with a modern showcase where clients send piece photos and dimensions for an estimate.

After seven years training with Menacho’s previous owners, Greg Morrison took over the Mountain View shop in 1985. The shop restores antiques, caned chairs and teak furniture in-house.

The current hero asks visitors to “Read More” rather than capturing the piece photos and dimensions Greg needs for an accurate restoration estimate.

It’s 4:15 PM on a Friday. A Palo Alto family just discovered water rings on their grandmother’s dining table. They want to send photos before the weekend — and they are comparing two local shops on their phones.

This review uses the archived homepage capture in our source pack. We did not change or test the live site, and we make no ranking, speed or traffic claims.
The hero is a five-slide carousel, and its one button is “Read More.” There is no estimate or photo-upload action on the first screen.
The phone and email are present, but in small type in a dark strip at the very top, apart from the logo and the navigation.
Caning shows in the chair photo but is never named; the first headings below the hero are the generic “Welcome,” “About Us” and “Services.”

This concept was prepared for Greg Morrison and Menacho Refinishing. Amy stays personally involved from the first conversation through launch, so the shop never has to chase a vendor.
Greg, your antique restoration, hand-rubbed finishes and chair caning deserve a clear online showcase. I’d like to help families share photos and dimensions, then arrange a shop visit with you.
